Staff Positions, Afghanistan War Commission
The Afghanistan War Commission is actively seeking qualified candidates to fill a variety of roles at all levels on the commission’s research, operations, and communications teams. Positions are expected to be full time, in-person, and based in Washington, D.C. Candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
We are looking for candidates for the following role (updated March 2025):
- Analyst, Counterterrorism Team – Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to produce insights that support the Commission’s research goals. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations. This position reports directly to a Counterterrorism Team Leader, coordinating the conduct and results of research efforts with other members of the research team and collaboratively with members of other teams.
